Guiding One Manchester to realise their vision of building resilient communities

The Challenge:

A housing association managing over 12,000 properties, One Manchester has a Social Investment Strategy at its heart. The organisation’s vision is to transform the regions in which it operates by building “Resilient Thriving Communities”.

Our Response:

An evaluation of activities was undertaken to determine relative effectiveness and reach within the community. After reviewing the national evidence base and visiting local projects, the FoodSync team presented findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.

The Outcome:

Food-based thinking delivered priorities and offered insights to shape governance projects. The approach to funding - that wasn’t currently meeting objectives - was rethought and a more strategic understanding of outcomes led to better use of funds and return on investment.
