Addressing food poverty

Client:

Category:

Project timeline:

A partnership development in Bolton to more effectively tackle food poverty

The Challenge:

Bolton at Home and the teams across Bolton Council wanted to gain a deeper understanding of food and sustainability; particularly what work is currently happening, what has happened in the past and what is on the horizon.

Our Response:

FoodSync facilitated a stakeholders’ event at Bolton Stadium to bring together partners in a targeted manner to work beyond the traditional food poverty remit. The event galvanised the entire working group to tackle food poverty more creatively.

The Outcome:

Areas where significant gains could be made - by working more strategically across organisations and institutions - were identified and a number of cross-cutting ideas were presented. Work is ongoing to evolve this and embrace wider partnership working.
